Chaos Of The World Getting You Down? 3 Steps To Healing Through Meditation

Blog

In today's chaotic world, it can be difficult to give your mind, and spirit, the attention they need. That's where yoga comes in. Yoga isn't just about stretching your body, it's about becoming one with body and spirit. Meditation is a key part of that unifying experience. Through meditation, you allow your body and spirit to move beyond the stress of your daily life. If you've never tried yoga before, or you've never used it for meditation and spiritual healing, here are some simple steps to help get you started.

Remove Yourself from the World

For truly meaningful meditation and spiritual healing, you need to remove yourself from the outside world. Find a place where you can be alone. Preferably one that's comfortable, and where you can be free to relax. Once you've found your space, allow yourself a few moments to become one with your thoughts. Finding a quiet, private place will ensure that you can experience uninterrupted meditation.

Understand Your Needs

If you're going to be meditating for a specific purpose, it's important that you understand your needs. Before you begin meditating, take the time to identify your needs, and the purpose of your inflection. Once you identify your needs, and can understand the purpose of your meditation, you can begin focusing on healing your mind and spirit.

Focus on Breathing and Purpose

Now, close your eyes and focus on your breathing. Listen to the sounds of your breaths, and feel your body as it inhales and exhales. As you familiarize yourself with your natural breathing patterns, start adding some deeper breaths. Continue this until you're relaxed and breathing deeply. To gain the maximum benefit, make sure you're breathing from your diaphragm, instead of just your chest. Allow your belly to expand with air each time you inhale. If you're not sure how to do that, place your hands on your belly and breathe. When you're breathing from your diaphragm, your hands will move in and out with each breath.

Begin Your Meditation

Once you're relaxed and breathing deeply, you'll be ready to begin your meditation. Place your mala beads, or prayer beads, in your hand, and begin the recitation of your mantra. Each bead on your mala bracelet represents another mantra or affirmation you should recite. Your mala beads will allow you to focus on one need at a time, so that you can heal your body, mind, and spirit.

Cleaning My Jewelry

After wearing the same jewelry pieces day after day for years, I realized that a few of my favorite items had developed a significant level of grime. I didn't want to look sloppy, so I started to look into ways to tidy them up. I talked to a friend of mine who knows how to clean everything, and she had some really amazing ideas for cleaning tiny chains and little prongs. This blog is all about the art of cleaning fine jewelry, and even tidying up older costume jewelry pieces. You never know, you might be able to make those older baubles sparkle.
